The Build The Track Motorsports Show presented by Firestone Complete Auto Care and the Subaru Dealers of Hawaii! Powered by Boost Mobile, and hosted by the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council! Held on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 within the Aloha Tower Marketplace from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. this free non-profit family oriented event gathered Oahu's automotive enthusiasts raising awareness to the local community to support a new, safer, multi-purpose racing facility that can support the needs of Oahu's thriving motorsports community
Custom rides in the spotlight included a wide range of race spec vehicles all of which have competed within different motorsports such as drag racing, drifting, motorcycle racing, auto crossing, motocrossing, go-karting, dirt track, and even race-winning #10 Budwesier/Ralph's Della Penna Motorsports Indy Car which could be found within the Firestone Complete Auto Care booth allowing participants of the event to sit within it's cockpit for photo opporunities. Other customized rides included modified imports, euros, trucks, old school muscle cars, classics, & retros to present day domestic muscle, streetbikes & choppers, sport cars, and a whole lot more
Activities for the day included the Hawaii Army National Guard's HIANG Coconut Tree Climber allowing brave participants of this event to climb the coconut tree and be the first to tag the coconut, live entertainment and a beer garden for the thirsty patrons, an opportunity to win an XBOX 360 from the folks over @ PC Gamerz, and a whole lot more
Booths one could check out included none other than the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council booth, the Hawaii Army National Guard booth allowing participants of the event an opportunity to see what our men and women in uniform are all about, the ComputerGeeksHawaii.com booth allowing participants of the event to play video games on 28" LCDs, the PC Gamerz booth with their head-to-head custom-built racing simulators allowing participants of the event to compete in a linked tournament battle with 42" Plasma/LCD screens, custom raceseats, Logitech G25 steering wheels/clutches/pedals, and hand built rigs, and a whole lot more
