If you want authentic Hawaiian food here in Hawaii, you NEED to visit Highway Inn Hawaiian Food Restaurants in either of their two locations in Waipahu or Kaka’ako.

My personal favorites are their Pork Laulau Combo Plate and their Tripe Stew Combo Plate both coming from their Signature Hawaiian Combo Plates menu. Add a side order of their Squid Laulau and I’m good to go! Broke da mouth! Kanak attack! Shi shi nai nai!
