Unite Here Local 5 Labor Day Action | 9.2.19
Monday, September 2nd, 2019. Labors Day. 9:37 a.m. Another beautiful day in Hawaii Nei, and a perfect day for a Unite Here Local 5 Labor Day Action within the Modern Honolulu Pool Deck. I ended up parking within the Magic Island parking lot after numerous attempts to find a parking stall throughout the entire Ala Moana area. To my astoundment upon exiting my vehicle, I could hear my brothers & sisters of Unite Here Local 5 chanting from afar. Today was going to be a glorious day!
Before heading towards the Modern Honolulu Hotel to where my brothers & sisters of Unite Here Local 5 were staging their Labor Day Action for the day, I decided to take a quick break to enjoy the beautiful scenery our island of Oahu had to offer as well as talking small kine stories to the local fishermen who were in the area asking them what was the catch of the day. A cigarette stick or should I say a cancer stick away, and I was ready for my walk from Ala Moana Beach towards the Modern Honolulu Hotel

All in all, another awesome union action and union day with my brothers & sisters of Unite Here Local 5 filled with unity, strength, comradery, and perservance. Ole, ole, ole, ole!
