OSIXHI Fast Kine Meet with Ricky Fujitake @executioner808 | 11.30.19
Old School Imports Hawaii aka OSIXHI created a “Fast Kine Meet” with @executioner808 aka Ricky Fujitake of Hilo, Hawaii during his weekend visit here on Oahu Nei on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at the Central Oahu Regional Park bringing together old school imports and like minded enthusiasts on a Saturday afternoon
For those not in the know, Ricky Fujitake is a hardcore Toyota enthusiast from Hilo, Hawaii who owns a street, show, and strip ready 1972 Toyota Corolla Coupe with a best time of 11 seconds down the quarter mile
Propelling Ricky Fujitake’s 1972 Toyota Corolla Coupe down the 1320 is a 3TC motor with a host of go fast goodies including dual 45 Weber Side Drafts, a ported and polished big valve head, custom 89mm PSI Racing camshafts, a 150 shot NOS Nitrous System, and a whole lot more. Transferring the power to the ground is a Toyota Hilux w50 5 speed transmission chosen for it’s durability and ability to handle high horsepower mated to a Toyota Hilux rear end incorporating 456 gears and finally dumping all the horsepower onto a sticky pair of 24.5x8x13 Mickey Thompson slicks
Agenda for the afternoon: making memories via www.eight08.net and social media giants Facebook and Instagram. One year from now on this day, this memory will pop up on both Facebook and Instagram and we all can reminisce on this particular OSIXHI Meet with our brother Ricky Fujitake. Cheers to old friends and making new friends
Pictured above is Tommy Dolormente’s 1978 Toyota Hilux aka the “Banana” that had been lowered up front via Belltech Mighty Max springs, and lowering blocks towards it’s rear adding a subtle stance to this old school import classic
Another Toyota Hilux in attendance was that of Richard Graellos that had been lowered up front via Belltech Mighty Max springs and lowered in the rear via 3″ lowering blocks. On all four corners were 15×8 aftermarket wheels wrapped in Nexen 175/50/15 tires
Botoz all around. Team no homo. Botoz Meet & Greet. Team Dolo. Nuff said LMAO
And here we have Tommy Dolormente caught on camera getting a little frisky with Lance Harano’s show stopping, panty dropping, “Best Of Show” winning 1973 Toyota Trueno Sprinter that is known for it’s build worldwide
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, www.eight08.net has been very fortunate with the opportunities in featuring some of the dopest cars Hawaii has to offer and Lance Harano’s 1973 Toyota Trueno Sprinter is a prime example of the top shelf quality builds that come out of our little island of Oahu filled with grass huts and hula skirts. Be sure to check out our feature of Lance Harano’s 1973 Toyota Trueno Sprinter over @ http://www.eight08.net/jdmsprinter.html
Pictured above and below is Aaron Rideout’s 1993 Honda Acty otherwise known as a Kei Truck in Japan. Aaron Rideout’s 1993 Honda Acty sits on Gaz coilovers up front, and custom built shortened rear leaf springs by Hawaii Spring Supply towards the rear. Aaron Rideout IS the guy to turn to if you’re in the market for a Kei Truck and/or JDM vehicle in Hawaii Nei
Pictured above and below is DJ Acosta’s 1973 Toyota Celica rocking a custom metallic midnight blue paint job along with molded JDM Toysport fender flares that definitely accentuate the bodylines of this import classic. Dropping DJ Acosta’s 1973 Toyota Celica center of gravity lower to the ground is a set of Toyhead coilovers. Keeping DJ Acosta’s 1973 Toyota Celica planted to the ground are Tom’s Racing 13×8 wheels up front and Tom’s Racing 13×9 wheels towards the wheel all wrapped up in 245/45/13 Toyo Tires goodness on all four corners. Go fast goodies include a 3TC motor conversion, dual 45 Weber side drafts, ported and polished heads, Iski camshafts, gear drive, and a whole lot more
Pictured above and below is Dyrell Acosta’s 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 sporting a custom metallic gray hue sitting on Superstars 13×8 wheels up front and Superstars 13×9 wheels towards the rear all wrapped up in 215/50/13 Bfgoodrich goodness on all four corners. Go fast goodies include a refreshed 3TC motor incorporating dual 44 Mikuni side drafts, ported and polished heads, 89mm Weisco pistons, 350 Norris camshafts, gear drive, and a whole lot more
With that said, I’d like to wish our brother Ricky Fujitake an awesome “Sunday Funday” and a safe trip back home to Hilo, Hawaii. Maybe one day, I’ll fly up to Hilo, Hawaii so we can do a feature on your wicked 1972 Toyota Corolla Coupe and a couple passes down the 1320. That would be SICK!
Hana Hou,
Peter Rosario
