EIGHT08 BLOGS: PC Master Race

eight08netwp 4 years ago

The year 2020 is nearly coming to an end with only a month or two left to go, and it was time for my PC build to recieve a little TLC ? A total tear down of my PC build to be exact with a brand spanking new case swap added into the mix ?

Pictured below is the PC case I chose for my PC Build X Refresh ? A Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB Case to be exact ? The Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB Case features a mesh front panel and mesh bottom left shroud panel, honey comb vent design, and built-in RGB fans ?

Pictured below is the core of my PC Build X Refresh. An ASUS TUF X299 MARK 1 motherboard with all the bells and whistles you can throw at it backed by an Intel i7 X-series Processor

An Intel i7-7820X X-series Processor to be exact ? (8) cores and (16) threads of Intel CPU goodness

Data storage is handled by a pair of Samsung SSDs. A Samsung 970 EVO 250GB NVMe M.2 SSD is configurated for the operating system and my most commonly used photo and video softwares, while a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD is configurated for the backing up of my recently completed projects as well as 70 gigabytes worth of World Of Warcraft goodness

Pictured below are (8) sticks of Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO goodness ? MOAR RBG RAMs equates to ? MOAR RBGs ?

And the fun begins ? Ready to slap on my GPU aka Graphics Processing Unit ?

Speaking of my Graphics Processor Unit, pictured below is my beloved Nvidia Founders Edition GTX 1070 GPU paired with a V1 Tech GPU Backplate ? I was actually rocking (2) of these bad boys via an Nvidia GTX SLI Bridge on my previous PC build but I let (1) go for a good price to a good friend X IT Tech X PC Builder of mines ?

And although the 30 series of GPUs are out and about and I was seriously contemplating on an upgrade ie purchase of a 30 series for this particular Build X Refresh, I’m holding back at the moment being my single 1070 has been more than adequate for my photo and video editing needs as well as for gaming

Pictured below is an actual upgrade and an ideal upgrade to say the least for this particular Build X Refresh. A Fully Modular Seasonic Focus GX-850 power supply was chosen to replace my previous power supply unit which is paired with 24 Pin and 8 Pin RBG extension cables from Lian Li

Another upgrade per say. I’ve been rocking an older AIO liquid cooler for easily over a couple years now, and I figured I might as well purchase a new AIO liquid cooler for this particular refresh since my build was already torn down to bare bones. Pictured below is an Artic Liquid Freezer II 240 AIO Cooler ? Not pictured within this blog is a Corsair LL Series 120mm RBG Fan Kit which we swapped two of the fans onto the liquid cooler and the third used as the rear case fan. Fun fact: I believe we installed, uninstalled, installed, uninstalled, installed, uninstalled, and installed this particular AIO liquid cooler over 5 billion times during this particular PC Build X Refresh X Case swap ?

Session One ☝️ DONE ? And my PC Build X Refresh booted up without any hitches ? Time for a selfie ? SMILE ? We are on EIGHT08 ?

Session Two ✌️ Back to business ?‍♂️ Wire Managment ? WTF ? ROFLMAO ?

And after 3 long hours of staring at the PC Case and farting rainbows ? and unicorns ? VIOLA ? Wire Management ? Done ?

And it’s a wrap ✔️ TADOW ? How you like us now, we’re in the mix. It’s 2020 and we got the PC Fix with a stay at home and social distancing quota ?

Much Mahalos to Leonardo Million for continuously putting aside your time, effort, and dedication with my numerous PC builds, PC maintenance and refreshes, and PC problem phone calls and house calls ? You are appreciated ?

Happy Gaming,

Peter Rosario
