EIGHT08 EATS: 7-Eleven Convenience Store X Pau Hana Edition
Like a good neighbor, 7-Eleven is there ? Whether it be for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or those late night drunken shenanigans, Hawaii’s largest convenence chain store ie 7-Eleven is always there for you just like you best friend and/or your favorite uncle and auntie with a variety of food items to chose from
This particular blog is a Pau Hana kinda blog. “Pau” in Hawaiian translates to finish. “Hana” in Hawaiian translates to work. Hence “Pau Hana” aka “Finish Work.” And what a better way to begin a Pau Hana session than with an adult beverage in hand from 7-Eleven
My go to pupu to pair with my adult beverage has always been the Pork Hash from 7-Eleven ? (6) little steamed dumplings of porky goodness to be exact. 7-Eleven offers (3) varieties of their Pork Hash which includes their original Pork Hash pictured above, Shrimp Pork Hash, and Jalapeno Pork Hash. “Pupu” in Hawaiian translates to a hot or cold usually bite sized appetizer often served in varied assortments
Another personal favorite of mines to pair with an adult beverage is a Taquito, or two, or three from 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven offers a variety of taquitos to choose from including their Monterey Jack Taquitos pictured above, Jalapeno Cream Cheese, Steak and Cheese, Taco and Cheese, and Buffalo Chicken
Once the alcohol starts kicking in, a Manapua from 7-Eleven can assist in soaking up the alcohol a bit. 7-Eleven’s manapuas are made from an exclusive bao recipe resulting in a soft and slightly sweet manapua stuffed with savory fillings such as Teriyaki Chicken, Curry Chicken Char Siu, and Lup Cheong

Pictured above and below is another very popular local treat and a staple here in Hawaii Nei. A Spam Musubi in all it’s glory. Fun fact: 7-Eleven’s Spam Musubis have been voted “Best Musubi” for over a decade, and can definitely soak up the alcohol in your body’s system without breaking a sweat
And to wash everything down ? is their Local Style Saimin ?
And I usually end my Pau Hana sessions on a sweet note with either an ice cream sandwich or drumstick but I decided to go with some Chocolate Haupia Tarts from Ubae Hawaii this time around
Happy Eats,
