The 2nd Annual Old School BMX Bike Show was held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at the Bike Factory in Waipio, Hawaii bringing together BMX bicycle enthusiasts and afficionados on a Saturday afternoon
Being a Generation Xer, I grew up riding bicycles and still occasionally enjoy a bicycle ride here and there till this present day as a form of exercise and an excuse to get some fresh air as well as some Vitamin D from our hot Hawaiian sun
My father had bought me a Hutch bicycle back in the day, and although I don’t have any photos of it I do have many fond memories. I enjoyed learning and performing various and numerous tricks with my bicycle and because of that I’ve had my fair share of failed attempts, crashes, and even a scar on my right arm due to flying over my handlebars and eating pavement back in the day
An hour into checking out the 2nd Annual Old School BMX Bike Show and I was more than ready to head home. I was tired and hungry. Next stop, Zippys!
