75th Annual Floral Parade | 9.30.23

Agenda: Participate within this morning’s 75th Annual Floral Parade by riding shotgun in Alfredo Decierdo’s 1964 Volkswagen Beetle, and documenting it via an automotive enthusiast’s viewpoint through www.eight08.net

Alfredo Decierdo, picture above throwing up the Shaka, along with a host of other air cooled VW enthusiasts were invited by the VW Club Of Hawaii to partake in this morning’s 75th Annual Floral Parade here on Oahu Nei

Pictured above is Sal Acosta and his 1964 Volkswagen 21 Window Bus waiting patiently on the side of the road as his fellow air cooled VW enthusiasts gasses up before the hitting the road. Sal Acosta is the Deputy Chief Operations Officer for the VW Club Of Hawaii, and the VW Club Of Hawaii has been actively participating within the various parades on Oahu Nei throughout the years

Time: 8:04 A.M. Location: A location known to the locals as Fisherman’s Warf. A location to where the now defunct yet iconic ship-shaped restaurant known as Fisherman’s Warf was once located. Agenda: Time to start decorating the VW’s with some floral decor for this morning’s 75th Annual Floral Parade

Alfredo Decierdo’s 1964 Volkswagen Beetle was #141 in line so we had a bit of a wait and a lot of time to kill before actually rolling in as part of the parade

And it was time to hit the road and partake within this morning’s 75th Annual Floral Parade with a lot of Shakas being thrown out throughout our drive. The 75th Annual Floral Parade presented by “Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach was held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 closing the Aloha Festival for the year 2023
