National Take a Walk to a Park Day occurs yearly on October 10th encouraging everyone to walk to their nearby local parks, feel the wind in their faces, and appreciate all the benefits green spaces within our communities has to offer. For yours truly, the Neal S Blaisdell Park is just a couple minutes walk away from me 👍
The Neal S Blaisdell Park is a large grassy park on Pearl Harbor’s East Loch near Pearlridge Center located along Kamehameha Highway in Aiea, Hawaii
Found within the Neal S Blaisdell Park is the “Bell Of Peace.”
On the 50th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, in 1991, two craftsmen from Japan came to Neal S. Blaisdell Park to assemble the Bell of Peace that stands here today
Cycling and jogging paths as well as picnic sites can be found throughout the Neal S Blaisdell Park. A newly installed children’s playground can be found and utilized as well
Being located near the shoreline, shorecasters can be found throughout the shoreline of the Neal S Blaisdell Park in hopes of catching a papio or two. Neal S Blaisdell Park also provides a great view of the ocean which makes it opportune for taking photos as the sun sets in the background
