A lot of present day Lowrider Car Clubs here in Hawaii Nei started off as Lowrider Bicycle Clubs. Take Childhood Dreams Car Club for example. Childhood Dreams Car Club first started off as a bicycle club and evolved into a car club as it’s members got involved into cars, but the passion and drive to continue building and showcasing lowrider bicycles within their ranks still continues till this very day

Sean Kim of Childhood Dreams Car Club first began building his first lowrider bicycle back in the 90s. Throughout the years, Sean has built numerous other show quality lowrider bicycles, a luxury lowrider, as well as a Lexus IS300 that made it’s rounds within Oahu’s Import culture

Found within this blog is Sean Kim’s current lowrider bicycle build inspired by fellow club member Brannan Kajitani that being his 16′ lowrider bicycle better known as “Krazy Childhood.”

“Krazy Childhood” first began as a 16″ F&R frame which was heavily massaged and reshaped by Gary Ganotisi of JS4KIX Garage. Gary then laid down a silver basecoat upon the frame followed by numerous coats of Candy Cobalt Blue. Pinstriping was added throughout to eccentuate the patterns that can be seen beneath the candy paint

Sean then began sourcing out bicycle parts to complete his build via the now defunct Eki Cyclery. Bicycle parts acquired for his build from the now defunct Eki Cyclery included old school Schwinn mirrors, headlight, crank, sprocket, chain, chain guard, relaced 72 spoke wheels, whitewall tires, fenders, twisted pegs, and sparkle grips

Prior to installing a majority of the bicycle parts listed above, Sean reached out to Daniel of Lowlyfe Engraving in Kaneohe, Hawaii to engrave his chain guard, sprocket, headlight, mirrors, and wheels

Sean needed more bicycle parts to complete his build in which he decided to reach out to Krazy Kutting of Yuma, Arizona. All bicycle parts aquired from Krazy Kutting were custom made and engraved and included sissy bars, seat pan, handlebar, drop fork, drop fork crown, and pedals

Sean would like to thank Brannan Kajitani of Childhood Dreams, Gary Ganotisi of JS4KIX Garage, Daniel of Lowlyfe Engraving, Krazy Kutting, Fred’s Auto Top Shop, and Eki Cyclery

Be on the lookout for Sean Kim’s 16″ lowrider bicycle aka “Krazy Childhood” representing Childhood Dreams Bicycle Club at Supremacy Car Club’s upcoming 25th Annual Food Drive and Show & Shine on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Location to be announed at Midnight on the day of the event ✌️
