OSIXHI Homecoming Meet N Greet was held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 bringing together old school imports and like minded automotive enthusiasts on a Saturday afternoon
Making their way back home for a quick visit all the way from Alaska pictured above and towards the center of the photo was the Lewis Ohana that being Taylor and Lauren Lewis. Pictured above from left to right is Jeffrey Soriano, Taylor Lewis, Lauren Lewis, and Tommy Dolormente. Papa Dolo aka Tommy Dolormente’s father was in attendance as well all the way from the Philippines for a two month vacation here on Oahu Nei
Sunny Nishimura brought out his garage built GReddy Rocket Bunny 1971 Datsun 240z much to the approval of those who had attended OSIXHI’s Homecoming Meet N Greet

A rare sighting. A rare sighting of a Datsun 1600 to be exact as pictured above and below. Marketed as the Fairlady 1600 at the time, or the Datsun Sports 1600 in many export markets including North America it was known as the “Roadster” on the West Coast of the United States
Out and about pictured above and below is Caitlyn Iha’s Honda Civic rocking an Aegean Blue Metallic hue while rolling on a set of Mag Blue Volk Racing TE37 wheels. An overall very well built and very clean Civic if I say so myself
Posted up at OSIXHI’s Homecoming Meet N Greet was this all original 1971 Toyota Corona Deluxe RT93 as pictured above and below
All original except for the wheels that this 1971 Toyota Corona Deluxe RT93 were sitting on. All original 8R-C motor with factory air conditioning, 4 speed transmission, stock exhaust, and an 8 Track tape player to boot
“The Toyota Corona was Toyota’s first model to be successful outside of their domestic market. The Toyota Corona was first introduced in 1957 and it’s name stuck around until 2002. The early 70s was the golden era for the Corona with it’s attractive and sporty looks incorporating the larger 1.9 liter 8R-C inline four with 81 horsepower and 174 pounds of torque mated to a 4 speed transmission making for an enjoyable drive at the time.” Fun Fact: I learned how to drive with a Toyota Corona in the Philippines prior to getting my driver’s license back in the day. Yes, it was standard. And yes, I stalled many times before getting the hang of it 😜
Posted up at OSIXHI’s Homecoming Meet N Greet was Ikaika Mokiao’s 1992 Nissan R32 GTR as pictured above and below. Ikaika Mokiao’s 1992 Nissan R32 GTR rocks a Pandem Widebody kit and sits on D2 Racing air struts accompanied by an Air Lift Management System. On all four corners are custom rebarreled wheels from LTMW wrapped in Toyo Tire’s Proxes goodness
RHD Hawaii was in attendance with a host of JDM RHD vehicles within their lineup and throughout the meet
80s and 90s vibes. I spotted a 5 panel rearview mirror within a Honda CRX that was a popular accessory back in the days. Memories of 5 panel rearview mirrors, euro plates, fuzzy dice, dual windshield wiper blades, Fuba antennas, chrome fender trims, and Oakley stickers 😜
Out and about and always in support of OSIXHI’s meets throughout the years were the Hawaiian VW Outlaws with a host of aircooled Volkswagens within their lineup
An hour and a half into the meet and I was hungry. Unfortunately, (4) out of the (5) food trucks found within the vicinity were already closed for the afternoon and I wasn’t in the mood for malasadas for dinner. Across the street we drove towards the nearby Pearl Kai Shopping Center in search of some nourishment before heading home
EIGHT08 EATS: Build Your Own Ramen | Pearl Kai Shopping Center. Cheese Gau Gee and a custom Ramen concoction I had created incorporating a variety of seafoods, vegetables, a spicy seafood broth, and udon noodles. Be sure to check out my blog found below 👇
