Date: Saturday, April 27th, 2024. Time: 7:23 A.M. Location: Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Destination: Hilo, Hawaii. Agenda: Check out this afternoon’s Big Island 2nd Annual Hottest Car, Bike, & Truck Show that was being held within the Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium

Time: 9:06 A.M. Location: Hilo International Airport. We had arrived at Hilo International Airport with our flight landing earlier than expected. First stop, Verna’s Drive In

Verna’s Drive In is a local landmark that has been serving local kine grinds to Hilo’s community for many years. As for yours truly, I went with something that would be quick and easy to eat that being their Pastrami Sandwich and French Fries Combo as pictured below

We stopped by the S. Tokunaga Store in celebration of their one hundred and four years, 104 years, of existence as an outdoor and sporting goods company in Hilo, Hawaii. 104 years strong, 104 years deep, and many more years to come

I stopped by Kula Shave Ice to cool off a bit with an order of their “The Kula Rainbow” shave ice before heading towards the Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium. Their “The Kula Rainbow” shave ice, pictured below, consisted of blueberry, strawberry, and mango flavors over vanilla ice cream

Time: 3:15 P.M. Location: Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium. Agenda: Check out this afternoon’s Big Island 2nd Annual Hottest Car, Bike, & Truck Show

The Big Island 2nd Annual Hottest Car, Bike, & Truck Show was held from Friday, April 26th till Saturday, April 27th, 2024 within the Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium in Hilo, Big Island

We decided to check out Ken’s House of Pancakes before heading towards the airport for our flight back home

I had an order of their “Sumo Saimin” as pictured above and below. Their “Sumo Saimin” consists of 1 lbs. noodles, teriyaki sticks, Char Siu, Kai Choy, eggs, kamaboko, and green onions

Unfortunately, we can’t do road trips per say on the weekends to nearby surrounding states as the mainlanders do but we can island hop on occasion ✌️
