EIGHT08 EATS: Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen | 10.14.19
Monday, October 14th, 2019. 8:01 A.M. I get a “wake up” call from my good friend, personal computer building wizard, and Hale Nani Local 5 brother Leo Millon. We are heading to Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen for breakfast today! 38 minutes and 2 sticks of cigarettes later and I get picked up in Aiea by Leo Millon and his wife Joyce Millon riding shotgun with yours truly waiting anxiously yet patiently with an empty and hungry stomach. Lesgoo!
Sometimes with the hustle & bustle of life, you need to make it a point to put aside time for yourself, for your friends, and for your family, and today was a day off that I would share my time amongst two good friends of mines for breakfast in Kailua. At Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen to be exact
Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen is located on 151 Hekili Street in the heart of Kailua, Hawaii. Their hours of operation are Monday 7:30 a.m. till 3 p.m., closed on Tuesday, Wednesday through Friday 7:30 a.m. till 3 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday 7 a.m. till 3 p.m.
We arrived in Kailau a little after 9 p.m. and the line fronting Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen was a bit on the long side as we had expected
We made our reservations and decided to wait it out within the surrounding area. First come, first serve. FYI, Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen does not take any reservations for any occasions at any time. No ifs, ands, or buts about it
An hour later and we were seated within Boots & Kimo’s Homestyle Kitchen. Good things comes to those who wait, and at the end of my meal I was more than a satisfied customer

And their Hawaiian Style Kalbi Short Ribs are the BEST kalbi short ribs I’ve ever come across so far to date. EIGHT08 approved. EIGHT08 recommended
