“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds

Date: Sunday, March 15th, 2020. Time: 3:08 a.m. Location: Waimalu, Aiea. I was sooo excited to chase the sunset with my friends later during the afternoon that I actually woke up early this morning. In reality, I dozed off earlier than usual the previous evening and woke up abruptly 4 hours early before my work shift began

4:53 a.m. Boredom kicked in and there I was outside our home with 40 ounces of freshly brewed coffee, a freshly opened pack of Marlboro Lights 100 and a lighter, and my DJI Mavic Air up in the sky trying to capture the moon of all things lmao

6:30 a.m. and I was on my way to work. Location: H1 Highway. Destination: Hale Nani Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The morning sky seemed promising for an afternoon chasing the sunset with friends

Location: Hale Nani Rehabiliation & Nursing Center. Time: 9:01 a.m. First break! The sky seemed very, very, very promising for an afternoon chasing the sunset with friends! Yes indeed!

12:01 p.m. and there I was beneath a stairway finishing up my cup of coffee and watching it pour cats and dogs. Typical Hawaii kine weather especially within the Makiki area. It can be blue skies, and be pouring cats and dogs a minute later. Although the forecast for throughout the day was for flash floods and heavy rains, I was still opportunistic for an afternoon with friends chasing the sunset

12:06 p.m. What a better way to wash away the rain than with onolicious grinds with your coworkers during your lunch break. Pictured from left to right is an Ahi Belly plate lunch, a Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl, and a Salmon Belly plate lunch from Keeaumoku Seafood. Sharing is caring!

Time: 3:56 p.m. Location: Waimalu, Hawaii. Home sweet home! And I got home with the swiftness! As I began preparing my camera gear for a trip to the beach and playing World Of Warcraft on my personal computer, my buddy Leo Millon sent me a text message that they were on their way to pick up yours truly. A sunset chasing adventure with the Millons, Leo and Joyce, and another friend who we were going to pick up on our way to Ala Moana Beach

Time: 5:37 p.m. Location: Ala Moana Beach. Let the sunset chasing adventure begin!

Last stop Zippy’s! Zippy’s on Vineyard Boulevard to be exact. Picture below is Prime Burger with mushrooms accompanied by french fries and a dill pickle. Nomnom
