Speaking of Rainbow Falls being the most easily accessible waterfall on the Big Island, Rainbow Falls is conveniently located on a main road on 967 Waianuenue Avenue to be exact and is just a couple minutes away from Downtown, Hilo. Parking is somewhat limited but is just a minutes walk away from the scenic spot
Rainbow Falls flows over a natural lava cave which is the home to Hina an ancient Hawaiian Goddess
Fun fact: Waianuenue literally means rainbow water in Hawaiian
Rainbow Falls is most definitely an essential stop on the Hilo side of the Big Island. No hiking shoes needed. Slippers allowed
