The VW Club Of Hawaii held their 20th Annual Shaka Weekend Food Drive and Car Show on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 within the Ala Moana Beach Key Hole bringing together Oahu’s Volkswagen Community for a Sunday Funday here in Oahu Nei

Angelino Cariaga’s 1964 Volkswagen Buggy sits on a set of Centerline Convo wheels (FR) 15×4 1/2 (RR) 15×12 wrapped with a pair of Michelin tires up front and a pair of meaty Mickey Thompson N50 tires in the rear to transfer the power to the ground

Angelino Cariaga’s 1964 Volkswagen Buggy is powered by a fully built 2110cc motor incorporating Dual 48 Weber Carburetors mated to a 5 speed Gene Berg transmission

Fun fact: Todd Ishimaru’s 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI was reborn from a rolling shell back in the early 2000s rebuilt with european specs and parts by Ronnie Matthews. The car has changed hands from Ronnie Matthews, Hermin Kama of Grip Automotive, and to now it’s current owner that being Todd Ishimaru of Team Foreign Objects. And Yes, this 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI is most definitely a “survivor” ?
