The Pali Lookout has deep historical significance and is best known for the “Battle of Nu’uanu” where in 1975 King Kamehameha I won the battle that finally united Oahu under his rule. The fierce bloody Battle Of Nu’uanu claimed hundreds of warriors lives many of who were forced down the sheer cliffs of the Pali Lookout
The Pali Lookout is also well known for it’s supernatural incidents that occur within the area most notably sightings of silhouettes of ancient Hawaiian warriors. It is believed that there are still bones remaining at the bottom of the cliff of said ancient Hawaiian warriors
