EIGHT08 EATS: Shay’s Smash Burgers
Date: Friday, February 12th, 2021. Happy Lunar New Year X ALO\000/HA ? Friday ? Location: H1 Highway. Destination: West bound aka home bound aka Waimalu, Aiea after an 8 hour work shift. Speeding home on the highway with an overheating 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT with it’s heater on full blast in hopes of the radiator fluid temperature dropping to no prevail ?
Pit stop number ☝️ one as I parked beneath an overpass exiting onto Kamehemeha Highway as I realized the temperature guage was pegged to the top ?♂️
Pit stop number ✌️ two as I parked within a nearby 7/11 convenience store to where I decided to pick up a couple cans of Mango flavored White Claw Hard Seltzers and allow the car to cool down for a bit. And since I was already in the area ? I decided to cross the street and pick up a couple goodies from Shay’s Smash Burgers ?
Shay’s Smash Burgers is owned and operated by Shayla Ka‘ai and is located on 98-291 Kamehameha Highway within the In And Out Auto Sales used car lot in Aiea, Hawaii. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday 11 a.m. till 5 p.m.n Saturday 12 p.m. till 4 p.m., and closed on Sunday
K.I.S.S. aka Keep It Simple Stupid and Shay’s Smash Burger’s menu keeps it real to their name offering (3) different types of their smash burgers as well as the obligatory french fries and drinks that goes hand in hand with their smash burgers ?

Pictured below is their Fun Guy Smash Burger priced at $7.00. Their Fun Guy Smash Burger consists of a 1/4 lbs. brisket patty, cremini mushrooms, Havarti cheese, bacon jam, and black truffle aioli
Pictured below is their Naked Chicken Wings. Price ? No idea ? I just wanted to purchase everything Shay had to offer both on and off their menu during my visit at their food truck. Shay offers two varieties of their Chicken Wings: Naked ie seasoned chicken wings and Barbeque chicken wings. Fun fact: Shay’s Smash Burgers also offers their Fluffy Tacos on Tuesdays aka Taco Tuesdays ? Their Fluffly Tacos consists of flour tortillas, your choice of meat: Kalbi or Kalua Pork topped with pico de gallo, avocado crema, queso fresco, cilantro, and shredded cabbage
