National Mochi Day is celebrated annually on August 8th. Founded in 2021 by Hawaiian business Mochi Mochi Wagashi, August 8th honors the traditional Japanese steamed rice cake and it’s chewy varieties including chi chi dango, daifuku, and mochi ice cream.
